The Department of Youth Counseling and Welfare at the Graduate School of General Studies is based on the Department of Industrial Welfare, which was established and operated on November 22, 1982, has a history and tradition of about 40 years, and has produced 56 masters of literature. From the first semester of 2022, the undergraduate department of industrial welfare will be renamed the Department of Youth Counseling and Welfare in line with the changes in the times, and the name of the graduate school will be changed to the Department of Youth Counseling and Welfare. Currently, five faculty members are devoted to lectures and guidance in major subjects.
Academic Object
•In the era of the 3rd Industrial Revolution, experts in the fields of 'welfare', 'counseling', and 'youth', whose necessary and utility values increase, are trained.
•Development of field-oriented human resources through broader and deeper psychological counseling theory and acquisition of practical skills/techniques
•To cultivate professionals who practice the character of Sirang, Light, and Freedom, which is the goal of Daegu University's establishment, and to cultivate practical qualities of welfare for all.
•Contribute to the community through youth-related industry-academic cooperation
