The Department of Psychology belongs to the Social Science College and opened the bachelors program in 1980. The Department of Psychology was permitted to establish the masters program by the Ministry of Education in October of 1983. The faculty is made up of seven professors. 217 students have completed the masters program and 51 students are presently enrolled in the program. Various majors are offered to tailthe course of study to the students needs. Programs include Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Consumer and Advertising Psychology, Criminal Psychology, Psychology dealing with social problems and community

- Providing professionals with a deep understanding of recent psychological theories and research
- Training professionals in the application of psychological principles
- Training professionals who can apply psychological principles and theories to solve various social problems
