The Department of Electrical Engineering was approved in 1992 and it later changed its name to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It again changed its name to the Department of Computer and Communication Engineering in 1997. The doctoral program was approved that year. The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering became independent of the majof Electronic Engineering. The masters and doctoral programs were opened on March 1st of 2006.
