The Department of Fashion Design was newly established in 1997 as a major in apparel design of human science and established a doctorate course in 2001.

<Academic Objectives>

· Training of competent fashion professionals required by knowledge-based society in 21c.
· Training practical fashion educators with comprehensive problem-solving skills in theory and practice.
· Training creative fashion artists through high value-added emotional development education.
· Training professionals in the fashion industry to meet the globalization and information age.
