The Department of Housing & InteriDesign opened in 2001. The department wasiginally known as the Department of Residential Environments when it was founded in 1997. The name was changed from the Department of Residential Environments to the Department of Housing & InteriDesign in 2007.

Academic Objective

- Training of design professionals who are scientific in their approach to assessing and designing commercial and residential environments

- Training of design professionals who can contribute to the security of commercial and residential environments

- Training of researchers and design professionals equipped with leadership qualities and practical abilities who are creative and able to work independently
