The Department of Biotechnology opened the masters program in November of 1988 and the doctoral program in July of 1992. The faculty consists of four professors.

- Training of biotechnologists who have practical abilities in advanced and basic biotechnology- Training of professionals fthe field of biotechnology who have design and technical analysis abilities- Improving the competitiveness of the nations biotechnology industry by producing highly skilled professionals in the field
